Overview:
The leadership program is designed to develop the essential qualities and skills needed to excel as a student leader. Working collaboratively in groups, students will participate in team-building activities that foster leadership skills such as critical thinking, effective communication, decision-making, and teamwork.
A key focus of the program is to support High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) by providing enriched and extended learning opportunities for students, particularly in the social-emotional, intellectual, and creative domains.
Students will gain an understanding of the relationship between human activities, the environment, and the cultural and natural heritage of Kamay Botany Bay National Park. They will also assess bush trails and use a GPS device to collect information.
As part of their learning, students will plan and design solutions to improve equal access to information for all audiences, considering the needs of people with disabilities when accessing sites, monuments, and sculptures.
This program provides a dynamic and inclusive platform for high-potential and gifted students to thrive through engaging, real-world experiences beyond the classroom.
