Stage 1 - Science - External Features of Living Things incursion

Science incursion

Stage 1: External Features of Living Things

Location:

Bring the expert educators from Kamay Botany Bay Environmental Education Centre to your school for an exciting, hands-on incursion! Our qualified teachers will guide students in exploring the unique external features of living things in their own school grounds, fostering curiosity and discovery right where they learn every day.

Overview:

Become an entomologist for a day! Students will don lab coats and investigate the fascinating invertebrates that inhabit their school, closely examining their external features. Through hands-on scientific inquiry, they will uncover the rich biodiversity in their own backyard.

This immersive experience transforms the school into a living classroom, where students engage in real-world science, develop a deeper connection to their environment, and identify the diverse plant and animal species around them.

Tailored to suit your school’s context and student needs, this incursion is a cost-effective alternative to excursions—bringing science directly to your students without the need for bus travel.
