Stage 1: The Past in the Present

Location:

Bring History to Life at Your School with an Incursion from Kamay Botany Bay Environmental Education Centre!

Our experienced qualified teachers will visit your school or local area to deliver an engaging, hands-on incursion that brings the history of Kamay Botany Bay to life.

Overview:

Students will explore how the Gweagal Clan traditionally inhabited this land and how settlers later farmed in the area during the 1800s. Through interactive roleplays, dress-ups, and the investigation of historical artefacts, students will gain a deeper understanding of the past in a fun and immersive way.

This program can be tailored to suit your school’s context and student needs. Incursions offer a cost-effective alternative to excursions, as there are no bus fees involved. We can deliver this exciting learning experience at any school—bringing history directly to your students!
