Stage 3 - Leadership Day incursion

Stage 3: Leadership day

Location
Bring the expert educators from Kamay Botany Bay Environmental Education Centre to your school for an exciting, hands-on incursion! Our qualified teachers will guide students in developing the essential qualities and skills needed to excel as student leaders—right within their own school grounds. This dynamic experience fosters curiosity, collaboration, and leadership, all in the familiar environment of the school setting.

Overview
Our leadership program is designed to help students build key skills required for effective leadership. Through a series of collaborative, team-based activities, students will strengthen their critical thinking, communication, decision-making, and teamwork abilities.

Students will also explore the connections between human activity, and the environment. Using GPS devices, they will assess their school grounds and collect data to inform their understanding of sustainable and inclusive design.

Optional Activity:
Students will plan and design inclusive solutions to improve access to public spaces for all audiences, including individuals with disabilities. This may include evaluating access to sites such as shopping centres, public transport, events, and buildings.

This immersive program transforms your school into a living classroom, where students engage with real-world challenges and develop practical strategies for effective communication and inclusive leadership.

Tailored to suit your school’s context and student needs, this incursion offers a cost-effective alternative to excursions—bringing rich, curriculum-aligned learning directly to your students without the need for bus travel.
