High Potential and Gifted Education

At Kamay Botany Bay Environmental Education Centre, we provide specialised learning experiences that challenge and extend high potential, gifted, and talented students. Our programs immerse students in the unique cultural and natural environments of Kamay Botany Bay National Park and other location sites across the Cronulla and Bayside local areas. Through hands-on, inquiry-based learning, students are supported to explore complex ideas, think creatively, and engage deeply with real-world contexts.

Our HPGE programs are delivered as one-day excursions at our sites or school-based incursions, depending on the program focus. Each experience is facilitated by Department of Education teachers who support students to collaborate effectively, think critically, and communicate ideas with confidence and originality. Programs are open to all schools, with schools selecting students to attend based on the purpose and focus of each program.
