Primary High Potential and Gifted Education
At Kamay Botany Bay Environmental Education Centre, we provide specialised learning experiences that challenge and extend high potential, gifted, and talented students. Our programs immerse students in the unique cultural and natural environments of Kamay Botany Bay National Park and other location sites, where hands-on, inquiry-based learning encourages curiosity, reflection, and creative problem-solving.
Programs such as Sculpture by the Bay and Stage 3 Challenge and Change are designed to inspire excellence across the intellectual, creative, social-emotional, and physical domains. Students engage with real-world contexts that promote complexity, abstraction, and critical and creative thinking. Each program is facilitated by Department of Education teachers who support students to think deeply, collaborate effectively, and express ideas with confidence and originality.
Our HPGE programs nurture both individual talent and collective engagement, providing meaningful opportunities for students to connect with Country, history, and each other. Open to all schools, these programs offer authentic, high-quality experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom and encourage students to thrive as creative, capable, and compassionate learners.
