Overview
The leadership program is designed to develop the essential qualities and skills needed to excel as a student leader. Working collaboratively in groups, students will participate in team-building activities to develop students’ leadership skills such as critical thinking, effective communication, decision making, and teamwork.
Students will gain an understanding of the relationship between human activities, the environment, and the cultural and natural heritage of Kamay Botany Bay National Park.

Students will:
Work in small groups to build a water carrier from natural resources before competing in a race to see who can move the most water from one point to another.
Be presented with a fictional scenario: they are stranded at Kamay Botany Bay National Park and can only keep 5 items from a box of 10. The group must debate and come to a unanimous agreement on their final choices, teaching them how to compromise and pitch ideas constructively.
Work in groups of 3-4 to design and create a sculpture out of natural resources. They will plan an impromptu speech together and present to the group.
